Sadaf Naurain comes from Lahore, Pakistan.  She obtained her BFA 1st Division with Honors from the National College of Arts, Lahore where she was awarded a three year scholarship.  She is currently an art teacher and began her career by assisting at an Art Counselling Programme in 2001.  She has participated in several major art exhibitions held in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.  In her paintings, Sadaf most often focuses on security being a basic need of women in the Asian Society.  She endeavours to bring about this awareness by symbolising the behaviour of society against middle class women by the use of flowers, organic forms etc. within a confined boundary.
