Michiel Henneman lives in Enschede in the Netherlands.  Persuing a desire from an early age to become a goldsmith, he ultimately fulfilled this ambition by obtaining his Master Degree from the Goldsmith School.  He participated in an exhibition of contemporary jewellery and underwent a training period in Goldsmithing in Northern Norway as well.  Thereafter, he became discontent with traditional forms of jewellery making and began extending its artistic boundaries.  He has recently taken to sculpture in which he finds greater scope for expression.
