Marion Bouwhuis resides in Enschede, Netherlands.  She studied Painting and Graphic Art at the AKI Academy, Enschede.  The inspiration for her work comes out of Nature and Meditation and she attributes this aspect to a visit to North India and Nepal in 1994, where the spiritual content of the Buddhist and Hindu way of living made a significant impression on her life.  She has had group and solo exhibitions in several cities in the Netherlands and Germany and also in New York and London.  She was co-founder of a studio for Graphic Art, Enschede in 1988.  She is currently a teacher of Graphic Art and also works in the Media Centre at the AKI Academy.
