Basil Cooray comes from Kandana.  He has held solo exhibitions of Water Colours on three occasions at some of the leading galleries in Colombo.  His work has been featured in group exhibitions as well, many of them presented by the George Keyt Foundation.  His works are in the collections of President’s House and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in Colombo 1 and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in South Africa.   Basil works as an Illustrator and Visualizer for a private firm.  He participated at the last International Artists’ Camp.
