Thushani Weeratunga comes from Matale.  A painter and visual artist, she is a final term student for the B.F.A. degree from the Institute of Aesthetic Studies, University of Kelaniya.  She has participated in exhibitions in Colombo since 2000.  Her work has attached Silver and Merit awards in India and France.
